Northside Pet Clinic can perform a full range of in-house digital x-ray services for quick and accurate diagnosis of your pet. If your pet requires surgery, we can perform pre-anesthetic blood work in the clinic along with a routine exam to ensure that your pet is healthy enough to undergo anesthesia. Our team of veterinary professionals coupled with our state-of-the-art veterinary equipment ensures that your pet receives the best medical care possible while in our hands.
All surgical patients are monitored with a continuous ECG and Dinamap indirect blood pressure machine to constantly assess your pet’s vital signs. These devices enable veterinarians to identify and correct early warning signs of distress. In addition, a veterinary technician also assists the doctors with anesthetic monitoring during every surgery.
We use the gas anesthetic isoflurane for the majority of all surgical procedures. The older injectable anesthetic combination protocols take longer to wear off and can be much harder on the pet’s system. Isoflurane enables the pet to regain consciousness much quicker after surgery, decreasing their anesthetic-related risk factors.
